The US Minority Contractors Association (USMCA), through its newly created Transportation and Logistics Division (TLD), creates the conditions for business growth and economic opportunity by promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, competition, and collaboration. TLD is working together with stakeholders to shape future growth in the industry which allows for safe, secure, and sustainable transportation and logistics operations.

The Transportation and Logistics Division (TLD) of US Minority Contractors Association (USMCA) seeks to serve global markets, transportation infrastructure agencies, and policymakers through supply chain research and education. We aim to promote opportunities for minorities through diversity, equity, and inclusion program efforts.

Michael Trimuel

Chairman

Michael Trimuel, established Trim’s Trucking, Inc. located in Harvey, IL, over 28 years ago. He expanded Trim’s Trucking Inc. into a fully equipped trucking company using his 32 years of expertise in the trucking and construction industry. Trim’s Trucking, Inc. is a recognized entity with the U.S. Department of Transportation, The Illinois Commerce Commission, and Dunn & Bradstreet. The company has been MBE/DBE/BEP certified since 2002.

Michael Trimuel is dedicated to serving and giving back to those less fortunate by donating time and resources to various non-profit organizations. He is also known for providing great leadership and mentorship to business owners who are new to the construction and trucking industry. Michael is a Dedicated Husband, Father and Christian.

Michael is a proud national board member of the United States Minority Contractors Association (USMCA). In 2016, Michael Trimuel was awarded the Minority Contractor of the Year Award by the United States Minority Contractors Association (USMCA), an honor held high in the field of construction.

Cortena Williams established Williams Professional Water Restoration Service, LLC (WPWRS) located in Delray Beach, FL, 10 years ago. The company started as a full-service water restoration company and has expanded by adding general contracting and roofing to the services serving FL, GA, LA, & VA. Cortena has over 27 years in the transportation industry and is certified as SMWBE/SBE/CBE/EPA Lead Safe Certified Firm.

Cortena Williams, is an organized, dependable leader skilled in multitasking while establishing lasting relationships with key stakeholders. Her primary focus is to assist USMCA members in obtaining opportunities that are available with our strategic partners and working to help maximize their membership.

Cortena Williams is honored to serve in several roles with the United States Minority Contractors Association (USMCA) to include: President of the Transportation & Logistics Division; President of Florida Chapter; and Officer/Board Member of the International Chapter.

Ernest Williams, originally from Monroe, Louisiana, is the Founder and Owner of Williams and Sons Trucking LLC, a family-owned transportation company based in Houston. With over 10 years of industry experience, Ernest built his business on the principles of safety, reliability, and customer service. Now serving as Executive Secretary for the Houston Chapter of the U.S. Minority Contractors Association, Ernest is focused on expanding opportunities for minority-owned businesses by enhancing access to resources, training, and fostering strong industry connections. His vision is to empower minority contractors to succeed and contribute to Houston's economic growth.
